Start your teens early on good money management habits. MONEY is designed specifically to help teens save (and spend) their money in a responsible way. This account gives young Savers the independence to make purchases and manage their money, with a little guidance from their parents.
What Teens can do with MONEY
Your teen will love feeling in charge of their MONEY Teen Checking Account. Teens can Check their balance; Change their personal info (must be at least 13); Receive a Debit MasterCard®; Change their PINs; Change their account nickname; Download their Account History; Set up Direct Deposit; and Receive Text Alerts and Email Notifications about account activity.
Deposit Checks from Anywhere
With CheckMateSM teens can drop money right into their account anywhere using your mobile device or computer. Teens can set up Direct Deposit if they have a job or use the old school way to make deposits by mailing in a paper check.
Requirements for MONEY
To be eligible an adult (over 18 years of age) and the teen must open the account together. Both owners must be U.S. citizens or permanent residents with a valid Social Security number. The account teaches teens how to manage their money the safe and responsible way. And, like the Capital One 360 Checking Account, there are no fees, no minimums and the money is FDIC-insured.
