Jersey Shore Federal Credit Union offers a Fresh Start Checking account. There is a $25 minimum opening deposit. A monthly service fee of $15 is required. You must successfully complete a checking account management program. Direct Deposit and Payroll Deduction may be required.


NewField National Bank 

Basic free checking account available to all consumers 18 or older. A minimum deposit of $50.00 is required to open a NJ Consumer or Student Checking Account. No minimum daily balance requirement or service charges. They do not use ChexSytems but they do use EWS.


Pennsville National Bank

Only proper identification is required to open a checking account. They offer several checking accounts including free and interest bearing checking accounts.


South Jersey Federal Credit Union

Only proper identification is required to open an account. The checking account features no monthly service fee, no minimum balance requirements, unlimited check writing, free mobile banking, a free Visa debit card and no minimum deposit to open.


United Teletech Financial Federal Credit Union

If you’ve had trouble getting a checking a Fresh Start Checking may be the account for you. You will get a full-service checking account to get you back on your financial feet. After 12 months of your account being in good standing, you have the opportunity to upgrade to a different checking account option. The account features online banking, mobile banking and unlimited check writing.
